Camp Echo Basin
Brand re-design and element creation | 2024 | Quincy, Washington
This project centered on revitalizing the brand identity to truly resonate with the concert attendees of the Gorge Amphitheater and the allure of the Washington wilderness. Making this the go-to camp spot for the weekend concert goers. Through a comprehensive branding overhaul, we re-imagined the logos, refreshed the color palette, and crafted custom patterns that evoke the essence of the surrounding landscape.
The aim was to infuse the brand with a sense of adventure and serenity, inviting music enthusiasts to experience the natural splendor that surrounds the Gorge amphitheater while in the area. By integrating elements inspired by the 70’s and drawing from the history of the owners themselves, we sought to establish a visual language that harmonizes with the campground's surroundings, their past, and the future they want to create. The revamped branding not only enhances the campground's aesthetic appeal but also fosters a deeper connection with nature enthusiasts, beckoning them to embark on memorable outdoor adventures in the heart of Washington's music scene.

Color Palette
It was crucial to refine and condense the original color palette, drawing inspiration directly from the natural surroundings of the area. Despite being located in Washington, the environment here is characterized by a desert landscape rather than the typical lush green commonly associated with the state. As a result, the color palette reflects earthy tones and muted hues
Typography Palette
For the typography palette, we chose thicker weights inspired by the vintage postcards and illustrations of the national parks foundation, aiming to evoke a nostalgic 70's feel. To achieve this, we utilized the wide set asymmetric font Sequoia, pairing it with the whimsical Bohemian script, adding character and warmth to the design. These choices not only added touches of retro charm but also ensured readability and visual impact, perfectly complementing the overall look of the project.
