Monstera Under Creatives

Monstera Under Creatives stands as a distinguished Online Creative Space, meticulously curated to provide an array of resources, and exclusive content tailored to nurture the talents of aspiring and established artists alike. Beyond being a mere educational platform, Monstera Under Creatives serves as an evolving collective, fostering collaboration and mutual inspiration among creatives.

For this project I worked on Branding, creating an identity that was as dynamic and robust as the artists it represents. Working with founder Celica Ledesma we created both static and animated assets that truly bring Monstera to life. Explore the rest of the project here.

Additional Colors

The color palette for Monstara grew quite extended as there were a lot of areas to encompass. From online modules, videos, different artist mediums and even a podcast. We decided a color palette as diverse as the people it represented was in order.

Typography

Color Palette

The color palette for this project is a bold and dynamic blend of oranges and greens, inspired by their natural complementary contrast. The vibrant hues evoke energy, creativity, and growth—much like the flourishing leaves of a monstera plant. The rich, earthy greens ground the design, while the lively oranges add warmth and movement, creating a balance that feels both organic and expressive. With a subtle nod to jazz influences, the palette reflects rhythm, vibrancy, and a sense of improvisation, making it visually engaging and full of life.

Typography Palette

The type chosen for Monstera is bold and expressive, designed to mirror the rhythm and energy of jazz. Featuring the dynamic font Bacalar, with striking contrasts in weight—thick, heavy letterforms paired with Brother, a wide thin font with open shapes. Together they create a strong sense of movement and flow. This contrast not only enhances visual impact but also reinforces the improvisational and dynamic qualities of jazz, making the typography feel as lively and spontaneous as the music itself. The result is a type system that is both attention-grabbing and deeply connected to the project's theme.
